Job Descriptions

PREP COOK

As a Prep Cook, you will assist with prepping various items in an effort to assist the chef with the ease of dining service. The items will range from vegetables to meats. We will assist with training you on other line items as you become more familiar with the prep work. Great opportunity for growth if you are looking to build on your career with us. The ideal candidate has had experience in a restaurant environment. He or she must have the physical ability to perform all aspects of this job (lifting, standing, bending, etc.), must be reliable and trustworthy, and must pay attention to detail and take pride in his or her work. We offer the opportunity to grow with the company if you are looking for advancement in the back of the house.

LINE COOK

Our Line Cook prepares food that meets current federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations by following established policies and procedures and ensures that safe and high-quality food service is provided at all times. Preparation of all items needed for service, from chopping vegetables to making sauces and butchering meat, and may be asked to prepare items for another station or special event. The ideal candidate for this position has had prior experience in a food service setting. Additional culinary training/coursework is a plus. Commitment to the customers, reliable to his or her co-workers, and be a self-motivated, organized, and detailed individual is a must. Effective oral and written skills, good time management skills, and professional dress, and behavior are all required for this position.

FRY COOK

As a Fry Cook, you will assist with prepping various items in an effort to assist the chef with the ease of dining service. SOUS CHEF

The ideal candidate for this position has had prior experience in a fine dining restaurant. This candidate will provide support to our Award Winning, Executive Chef. The Sous Chef is the chef in charge at times when the Executive Chef is not on duty. The Sous Chef will lead the team to flawlessly execute all of our guests meals. The Sous Chef is responsible for assisting with scheduling, inventory and creating specials. Ability to work all stations, train new hires and develop other kitchen staff as needed to help build their skills which will allow growth within the company. Culinary training/coursework is a plus but is not required. Commitment to the customers, reliable to his or her co-workers, and be a self-motivated, organized, and detailed individual is a must. Effective oral and written skills, good time management skills, and professional dress, and behavior are all required for this position.

PASTRY ASSISTANT

The Pastry Chef will work independently, with the input of the Executive Chef and Managing Partner to provide a creative culinary experience for our guests while following the food and safety procedures of the restaurant. The pastry chef will be responsible for but not limited to: all house made desserts, house made oyster crackers and specialty desserts for private events. The candidate will have a passion for creativity and work with local farmers to secure seasonal ingredients used in the dishes. Ability to work independently, with little direction and produce high quality, flavorful and unique items for the menu is critical to the success of the pastry program. Manage the Pastry menu allowing changes during the different seasons. Experimenting with items to create new wave dishes that complement the Chef's menu is encouraged. BARTENDER

The bartender role is tasked with serving drinks following established guidelines, procedures, and policies for food and beverage safety controls as prescribed by company standards. He or she will interact with guests and staff in a cordial, efficient, and professional manner. A server/bartender is responsible for ringing in guest checks, handling money and processing credit card payments following company policies and procedures. Bartenders assist with seasonal menu changes and being creative when making those menus. Providing assistance to diners when selecting drinks and/or wine pairing for dinner are also expected and encouraged. Qualifications include but are not limited to at least one year of experience in a restaurant setting, fine dining preferred. He or she has previous experience handling money and (POS) and credit/debit card processing systems and can work a varied schedule of lunches and dinners. There may be times where you are also asked to work nights, weekends, and holidays if extra help is needed. Strong verbal and written communication skills, good time management, and professional behavior are all required for this position. Knowledge of all dishes and drinks to make educated recommendations to our guests is critical to the success of the restaurant. A personable attitude with the ability to work in a high energy, fast paced environment is key to being successful. SERVER

The ideal candidate will be tasked with serving food and drinks following established guidelines, procedures, and policies for food and beverage safety controls as prescribed by company standards. He or she will interact with guests and staff in a cordial, efficient, and professional manner. A server is responsible for ringing in guest checks, handling money and processing credit card payments following company policies and procedures. In addition, the server may be asked to assist with seating guests, clearing and setting tables, and preparing to go orders. Servers are expected to be engaging with our guests while providing a great dining experience.

HOST

Our Host coordinates the activities of the dining room to ensure fast and courteous service to our guests. He or she schedules dining room reservations, will assist in arranging parties or special events, and special services for diners who may be celebrating something special. In addition, this position will also assist with our in-demand To Go boxes, which requires an organized, detailed individual to ensure orders are correct. He or she will work closely with the management team to assist with special event duties, act as a training resource, facilitate Covid protocols, and ad hoc duties as needed.
